Liandra Vineyard Syrah
‘The smoking gun’ of the Syrah wines full of peppery, spicy blackberry fruit - very aromatic with smokey bacon overtones reminiscent of Cote-Rotie Syrah wines from the northern Rhone Valley of France.

Moritz Vineyard Syrah
A very consistent vineyard, which always has very dark colour and black plum fruit with a gamey, leathery background. This has more to do with Cornas or Hermitage.

Hickinbotham Vineyard Syrah
Planted in the Onkaparinga Valley in the Clarendon Hills area, this wine is always very peppery and spicy with nuances of Leather and minerals. A most individual wine - always very deeply coloured and with abundant tannin.

Clarendon Vineyard Old Vines Grenache
This vineyard is situated in the hills above the township of Clarendon, planted in 1920. The wine from here is always very aromatic, lovely scents of cherry, plum with lavender and basil notes in the background. The wine is always one of the most attractive wines in the portfolio.

Hickinbotham Vineyard Old Vines Grenache
Situated just across the road from the Clarendon Old Vines Grenache Vineyard but on much harder ground facing north. The wine here is quite austere in its youth developing slowly but positively. Always shows lots of spice on the nose, marzipan also, and a palate which is long and tightly focused with abundant white pepper and Asian spices in the aftertaste. This wine needs cellaring to unravel all of its mysteries.

Blewitt Springs Vineyard Old Vines Grenache
This vineyard is in the Blewitt Springs area and always produces deeply coloured and very rich wine with full upfront raspberry fruit and a long aftertaste with abundant tannin in the finish. This wine repays cellaring very well as the 91’ and 92’ are maturing slowly.

Kangarilla Vineyard Old Vines Grenache
Planted on quite sandy soil with a flatter gradient, the wine is early to ripen and always shows its characteristic raspberry/plum, blackberry fruits intertwined with mint and other herbs. A very voluptuous wine which is always a real crowd pleaser.

Brookman Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine has a very pure expression of Cabernet ­ blackcurrant, chocolate and cedar all matured in 100% new French oak ­ totally integrated, matures very well. Cellar 10-15 years.

Sandown Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
A Much darker more powerful wine with deeper flavour and more character. Pungent iodine, leather hints with long tannic finish. Will cellar for 20 years.

Hickinbotham Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
Power packed heavyweight cabernet with mint and massive blackberry fruit character, powerful tannins and a solid finish. Will cellar for 30 years.

Brookman Vineyard Merlot
This vineyard is planted on hard deep clay which is very important for the production of classic Merlot - blueberry, mulberry fruit and chocolate overtones. Always very rich persistent and full bodied flavour with great opulence.
